Dani Pedrosa moved to the top of the times on the second day of testing at Sepang, as the HRC Honda rider became the first man to break into the 2m00 bracket. The Spaniard, who set his best lap time early in the morning session, was more than half a second faster than his team-mate Casey Stoner, while Ben Spies - trying different specifications of factory Yamaha M1s - was third fastest

Horner: Red Bull confident, not arrogant

Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner says last year's titles have given the team confidence to do better, but he claimed the world champion squad will still be humble in its approach. The Milton Keynes-based team enjoyed a great 2010 season and went on to win the first titles in its short history

Toro Rosso presents its 2011 design

Scuderia Toro Rosso became the latest team to launch its 2011 Formula 1 car when it presented the STR6 to the media at Valencia this morning. Red Bull's junior outfit unveiled its new car shortly after its world title-winning senior sibling had launched the RB7 further up the pitlane. The STR6 follows this year's fashion for higher-nosed designs and is the second car to be produced entirely in-house by Toro Rosso since the team's arrangement to use chassis provided by Red Bull Technologies had to be brought to an end.

Fernandes keen to create new legend

Tony Fernandes hopes his Lotus team's second Formula 1 car will be the start of a new 'legend' that does justice to the legacy of Colin Chapman's original Lotus operation. Fernandes' squad remains locked in battle with Renault backer Group Lotus over the right to use the Lotus title in Formula 1, and with no quick resolution achieved in court last week, the season will now start with two teams carrying Lotus Renault branding. Team Lotus launched its 2011 T128 F1 design in its Team Lotus Notes online magazine this morning, and in his introduction, Fernandes said while Chapman was still his inspiration, he hoped his team could now start developing a heritage of its own

Senna aiming for race seat in 2012

Bruno Senna is aiming to use his time as Renault's third driver to convince the team he is worthy of a race seat in 2012. The 27-year-old Brazilian, who raced in Formula 1 for HRT last season, said at the launch of the team's R31 at Valencia on Monday, that while he did not know whether he would get the opportunity to drive the car during Friday practice sessions he hoped that the tests he conducted in the old car would convince Renault of his potential. "I think it's a pretty good deal," said Senna
